Tickets

$150/person. Physical tickets will not be distributed. Guests will visit the check-in desk upon arrival.

Per the IRS, the fair market value of the goods received is $50.00 per ticket purchased. Only the portion of the contribution that exceeds this fair market value is tax deductible.                                    

Payroll Deduction

ECSU employees may use the payroll deduction option and pay monthly installments using the Gala Payroll Deduction form. Please use this form if you elect to use the payroll deduction option. After completing the form, you can bring it to the University Advancement main office- Thorpe Administration Building, Suite 230 or email it to gala@ecsu.edu. All balances using payroll deduction will be scheduled to be paid in full no later than June 30, 2025. Thank you for investing in ECSU!

About the Gala

Entering its 18th year, the Founders Day Gala has honored dozens of significant contributors to the Elizabeth City State University (ECSU) legacy, celebrated the historic institution's founding, and raised over $1.7 million in scholarships for ECSU students. 

The Chancellor’s Legacy Award recognizes individuals, businesses, corporations, and foundations who have best demonstrated the standard of excellence that defines and shapes ECSU as an institution.
